Legacy Name provides a Chinese naming service. Based on information you provide (name, birth date, gender, and personal preferences), our system generates Chinese names using BaZi (八字) analysis, Wuxing (五行) Five Elements theory, tonal phonetics, and surname lineage research. The Service is provided for cultural, educational, and personal enjoyment purposes.

3. Free and Paid Plans

The Service offers the following plans:

• Commoner (Free) — Limited to one naming request per 60 minutes per user. Provides 3 candidate names with basic analysis.
• Noble ($4.99) — Provides 5 candidate names with detailed analysis, noble surnames, and premium presentation.
• Imperial ($9.99) — Provides 10 candidate names with comprehensive analysis, imperial surnames, and advanced naming features.

Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time with notice posted on our website.

4. Payments

Payments are processed securely through PayPal. By making a payment, you authorize PayPal to charge the specified amount. All transactions are subject to PayPal's terms and conditions. Prices include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of our service (instantly generated content), all paid plans are non-refundable once the naming results have been generated and displayed. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from receiving your results, please contact us at legacyname@legacyname.co and we will work to resolve the issue or provide a credit.

6. Intellectual Property

The generated Chinese name, its analysis, and associated visual content (share posters, QR codes) are provided for your personal use. You may:

• Use your Chinese name personally, socially, and professionally.
• Share your name and its poster on social media and with friends.
• Display your name in personal profiles, resumes, and business cards.

You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the naming service, generated content, or our branding without written permission. The Legacy Name brand, logo, and website design are our intellectual property.

7. Accuracy Disclaimer

Our naming service combines traditional Chinese philosophical systems (BaZi, Wuxing) with modern technology. While we strive for cultural authenticity and accuracy, the interpretations, elemental analyses, and name recommendations are provided for personal enjoyment and cultural exploration. They should not be considered professional astrological, fortune-telling, or life-decision advice. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or outcomes associated with any generated name.

8. Rate Limiting and Fair Use

To ensure fair access for all users, we enforce rate limits on the free plan. The free plan is limited to one naming request per 60 minutes. Automated or programmatic access to the Service is prohibited without written permission. We reserve the right to restrict access to any user who abuses the Service.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.
• Provide false, misleading, or offensive information in the naming process.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to our systems or naming models.
• Use the Service to generate content that is harmful, hateful, or defamatory.
• Resell access to the Service without authorization.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legacy Name and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
